“Before the NEVCOs security and digital education program, I felt incredibly vulnerable. As an activist working on sensitive issues, I was constantly worried about online surveillance and physical threats. The training completely changed that. I learned practical skills to protect my online accounts, identify and avoid digital threats, and enhance my overall online security. Equally important, I learned how to assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This program didn’t just teach me technical skills; it gave me the confidence to continue my activism without the constant fear of reprisal. I also learnt how to encrypt my communications use secure messaging apps and protect my data from cyber attacks. These skills have allowed me to continue my activism more effectively and securely. The training also helped me understand the legal frame works surrounding online safety and digital rights empowering me to advocate for stronger protections for women activists. NEVCO's program of environment and sustainability gave me the skills and confidence to become a leader in my community. Through their leadership training and networking opportunities, I've been able to mobilize women in my village to participate in reforestation projects and waste management initiatives.
